Welcome
One & All
*Warning - this blog may contain a wall of boring text*
So,
cant say I’ve ever been much of a blogger nor kept any type
of diary so this whole noting down my daily/weekly goings on is new
and kind of interesting to me. So if you find yourself falling asleep
half way through one of my blogs I do apologise and I’ll try harder
to entertain you a bit more in future. Lets start the intro shall
we....
Hi,
my names Elliot. I'm 24 and currently residing in Ipswich. And if you
now thinking "Where the F**k is Ipswich?" I'll provide you
with a helpful link HERE
A Brief History Of Me
Before
we get stuck into the here and now I just want to rewind the clocks a
little and give you a brief incite into ermmmm...me. I was born in a
little city called Ely
and spent pretty much my whole childhood there. I've worked mainly in
the hospitality industry (Café’s, Hotels, Restaurants etc.) since
finishing school at 17 and have only now realized that this was a bad
choice in a career. I moved to Ipswich almost 4 years ago now
with family (Wow how time flys!) but 6 months of this was spent
backpacking around NewZealand aka Middle Earth. Now back here in lil'old Ipswich making
my next big career move.
The Here And Now
I'm
currently studying Computer Games Design which I’ll probably end up
referring to as "CGD" in future posts. This is my first
year on the course and I’m really enjoying it thus far, there’s
lots of interesting people with the same dreams and ambitions as
myself which is a great environment to be in when you want to learn.
And yes we do learn things in this course, not just sit around
playing games all day (well...maybe sometimes)

as part of one of our modules, we (the first years) are tasked with

Hi Elliot,
ReplyDeleteNew Zealand reggae is an interesting concept. It seems Katchafire started out as a Bob Marley covers band (they've still got that kind of sound -- at least in the performance in the clip in the YouTube link you posted).
The Guardian has an interesting games blog which, if you don't already know it, you might like to check out:
